DMT has had a massive impact to our business. I have to admit I was sceptical because we had been burnt before with other marketing companies. Ivan and the team helped grow customers and followers rapidly over a 3 month period. 3,700 extra FB followers and more than 2,500 chatbot subscribers, which equates to about 12,000 newsletter subscribers. Easily doubled our sales in 3 months. Highly recommended.
Google Ads for Orthodontists
Google Ads puts your practice in front of patients at the exact moment they're searching for treatment. Done well, it's the fastest way to fill gaps in your consult book. Done badly, it burns budget on clicks from people looking for cheap DIY aligners or general dental work.

My businesses Ayers House Events and Henry's Table have been using DMT for over a year now with fantastic results. Whether it is Facebook, Insta or creating general content such as photos and even websites, I can highly recommend this Tribe.
We engaged Digital Marketing Tribe for both Google Ads and SEO services, and the results have exceeded our expectations. Their expertise, professionalism, and attention to detail have significantly improved our online visibility. What sets them apart is their clear communication, transparency, and genuine commitment to helping their clients succeed. They take the time to understand the business, provide regular updates and explain complex, up to date digital marketing concepts.
Orthodontic searches are expensive to waste. The same budget can buy a click from a parent ready to book an assessment or a click from someone comparing mail-order aligner kits, and Google won't tell them apart for you. The difference is in how the account is built: campaign structure, negative keywords, location settings and landing pages.
We build every orthodontic account around one conversion that matters, the booked consult, and report cost per consult rather than cost per click.
How we run orthodontic Google Ads
Search campaigns built on intent
Campaigns split by treatment and audience: Invisalign, braces, children's orthodontics and adult orthodontics. Each has its own ads and landing page, so the message matches the search.
Negative keywords that protect your budget
We filter out at-home aligner brands, jobs, courses, DIY and general dentistry, so you only pay for patients worth talking to.
Local targeting
Ads show only within your realistic catchment, with bid adjustments for your highest-value suburbs.
Landing pages that convert
Sending ad traffic to your homepage wastes money. We build dedicated landing pages with a clear offer, such as a free initial consult, and a simple booking path.
Performance Max and remarketing
Once the search campaigns are profitable, Performance Max and remarketing extend your reach and bring back visitors who didn't book the first time.
Conversion tracking to the consult
Calls, form fills and online bookings are all tracked, so you see cost per consult rather than cost per click.
What we see in an orthodontic Google Ads account
Figures from Transform Orthodontic Care's account over the 12 months to October 2026.
One campaign per clinic
TOC runs a radius campaign for each clinic suburb (St Peters, West Lakes and Modbury), alongside a citywide Invisalign campaign, Performance Max for braces and a brand campaign. Each clinic gets its own ads, radius and search terms review.
What a click costs
Non-brand clicks on the clinic and Invisalign campaigns averaged $4.55 to $5.06. Brand searches averaged $0.71 and Performance Max $2.08. Knowing those numbers is how we set a budget that buys enough consults to matter.
Negatives never stop
The two active clinic campaigns carry more than 4,000 negative keywords, yet the search terms report still surfaces new waste such as "adelaide dental hospital phone number" and "dental implant trials near me". We keep adding to the list.
Patients search the doctor's name
Searches for Dr De Angelis by name appear in both the brand campaign and organic search. At $0.71 a click for brand searches, covering the practice and clinician names is cheap protection against competitors bidding on them.
Not every campaign earns its keep
A brand awareness Display campaign drew 1,415 clicks over the period and recorded no conversions. It is now paused. Cheap clicks are not the same as consults.
Health fund searches
Patients search by health fund too, such as "bupa preferred orthodontist". Whether to bid on those terms depends on the practice's fund arrangements.
What orthodontic Google Ads costs
DMT's Google Ads management starts from $1,000 a month, and we recommend at least $2,000 a month in Search ad spend for a practice to get enough data to optimise. Ad spend is paid directly to Google and never marked up. Your free audit includes a budget recommendation based on your area's search volume and competition, and our Google Ads cost guide explains how click prices are set.
Staying compliant
Ads for orthodontic treatment must follow AHPRA's advertising guidelines and Google's healthcare policies. We write ad copy that's persuasive without making prohibited claims, and we follow Align Technology's trademark rules when advertising Invisalign. Offers such as a free first consult are stated with their terms, so the ad never promises more than the practice delivers.
Transform Orthodontic Care: Google Ads results

Impressions

Orthodontist Google Ads, answered
How quickly will Google Ads bring in consults?
Most campaigns start generating enquiries within the first two to four weeks. We then refine targeting and bids over the first three months. TOC's campaigns reached 403 conversions at $22.03 each over a four-month optimisation period.
Can I bid on 'Invisalign' as a keyword?
Yes, as a keyword. Using the trademark in ad text depends on your provider status and Google's trademark policies. We handle this as part of setup.
Should I run Google Ads and Meta Ads together?
Often, yes. Google captures people already searching, while Meta reaches people before they search. See Meta Ads for orthodontists.
