Chapter 1

8:30am - Arrival At Work

Our Google Ads Specialist rolls into work at around 8:30am and gets ready for the busy day ahead. But first, a cup of green tea before the day gets underway.

9:00am - Team Huddle

On the stroke of 9, the team meets to discuss what are the important tasks that need to be completed for the day. These huddles set the tone for the day ahead and allow our team to raise any issues or positive things that have happened during the week.

9:30am - Reporting

As the Google Ads Specialist, we provide monthly reporting to help us compare campaign performance from month to month. More importantly, provide our clients with an in-depth analysis on what are the results and how they were achieved.

Campaign performance plays a vital role in determining the success and opportunities for our clients’ Google Ads campaigns. This requires us to look at all of the quantifiable data such as impressions, clicks, CTR, cost per click and most importantly conversions. 

To achieve this, we use Google Data Studio to help showcase live data in real-time. Data Studio is great for helping us compare data from one month to another, and, allows us to identify trends to take advantage of for current and future campaigns.

10:00am - Campaign Optimisation

A Google Ads Specialist’s job is more than just building campaigns and ensuring they reach their intended users. It requires high-end attention to detail fine-tuning keywords, pushing the best performing ads and much more.

Keywords are one of the most important elements of a Google Ads campaign. The keywords you choose will determine when and where your ad appears. You want to choose keywords that are relevant to your product or service, and that people are actually searching for.


The bid amount is another important factor in Google Ads campaigns. This is the amount you are willing to pay each time someone clicks on your ad. You want to set a high bid to get your ad seen, but not so high that you are wasting money.


Finally, your ads need to be relevant and targeted. Google Ads allows you to target specific demographics, interests, and even locations. You want to ensure that your ads reach the people who are most likely to be interested in what you offer.

Google Ads keyword research is important for several reasons. It can help us determine which keywords are most relevant to your products or services and helps us identify which keywords are most likely to convert users into customers. 

Google Ads keyword research helps us understand how much competition there is for each keyword, and what kinds of ads your competitors are running.

Campaign Structure

The best campaign is one that is neatly structured and organised. When targeting certain users,  and locations, we ensure that all campaigns are placed into ad groups.

Ad Copy

To ensure our clients’ have the best chance of gaining conversions, it’s important for us to write compelling ad copy. The ads are clear, concise, and persuasive. We make sure to include a call to action, such as “click here to learn more” to entice users to click on the Google ad.


Part of creating a Google Ads campaign is setting the budget. How much you want to spend can dictate overall campaign performance. This is discussed with our clients what the starting point is to be, before making adjustments to the budget depending on how the campaign is performing.

Campaign Monitoring

We monitor our campaigns daily to ensure the Google Ads are working as intended. This is done by keeping an eye on click-through rate (CTR), cost-per-conversion, negative keywords and much more.

Chapter 7

4:00pm - Admin

Before the day comes to its conclusion, we take the final hour of the day to tie up any loose ends. This includes checking any last emails, administrative work, going through our project management tools and checking off the completed tasks for the day.

Once this is done, it’s time to set up for tomorrow before calling time on the day.
Chapter 8

5:00pm - Hometime

Another day is in the books and it’s time to head home after an exhausting Google Ads workout. Now is the time to recharge the batteries and do it all again tomorrow.
