Meta Ads for Podiatrists
Facebook won't let you ask someone if their heels hurt. Meta's policies block ads that imply a person's health condition, and that rules out most of what clinics first think of. What works is making your clinic the familiar local name before the foot pain starts.

The team at Digital Marketing Tribe are extremely knowledgeable about all things SEO. I cannot recommend them more highly. They were extremely honest, helpful and straight to the point.
As the owner of Riverview Rise Retreats in Mannum, South Australia, I've spent two decades building a 5-star luxury brand with strong in-house SEO. After the 2022 Murray River flood forced an eight-month closure, our online visibility collapsed and the rapid shift toward AI-driven search left us virtually invisible. After reviewing multiple agencies, many overpriced and out of touch, I engaged Bilal and the team at Digital Marketing Tribe. Their approach was a standout: practical guidance, genuine support, and advanced schema-driven SEO that aligned perfectly with the new AI search landscape. Their focus was always on outcomes first, cost second, which immediately set them apart. Within months, our visibility rebounded across Google and AI search platforms, exceeding expectations and helping our business regain momentum. I confidently recommend Digital Marketing Tribe to any organisation seeking modern, AI-ready search engine optimisation backed by real expertise and integrity.
We would be straight with most clinics: Meta is the third channel, after local SEO and Google Ads. People with sore feet search for help, and Google is where they do that. Meta earns its place when you want to stay known locally, promote something specific or bring back people who visited and didn't book. We don't currently have a podiatry client. This is the plan we would run, based on the research below.
Done well, that's still worthwhile. A clinic's patients often live nearby, and a friendly face in a local feed is easy to remember when someone's child starts complaining about their heels.
How we would run Meta for a podiatry clinic
Small budgets, a tight radius and a clear job for every campaign.
Local awareness, tightly bounded
A radius around each clinic and video of your own team, so people recognise you when they eventually need you.
Copy that invites rather than diagnoses
"Are your feet killing you?" breaks Meta's personal attributes rule. "Meet the podiatrists at [your suburb]" and "What happens at a first appointment" do not.
Remarketing to all site visitors
We don't build condition-specific audiences for health clients. Everyone who visited goes in one group, if Meta's health classification allows matching for your site.
Community hooks
School sport seasons, fun runs and local clubs give you a reason to appear that isn't about anyone's symptoms.
Neutral tracking
Meta can classify health sites and restrict lower-funnel events, so we check Events Manager and keep event names neutral, like "Lead" rather than "Heel pain booking".
AI features off by default
Meta's terms make the advertiser responsible for what its AI generates. We switch those enhancements off unless you approve them in writing.
What our orthodontic campaigns suggest for a podiatry clinic
These figures come from Meta campaigns DMT ran for Transform Orthodontic Care, November 2023 to November 2025. It's orthodontics, not podiatry, so treat them as lessons rather than forecasts.
Awareness barely gets clicks
Seasonal awareness campaigns reached up to 132,730 accounts with click-through rates of 0.04% to 0.07%. Judged on clicks alone they look like a failure, so we don't judge them that way.
Remarketing got the clicks
The follow-up campaigns to people who already knew the practice clicked at 1.12% to 1.74%, many times higher. That gap is why we would pair the two.
Budget has to fit the audience
A single-clinic audience is small, so we size budgets to avoid showing the same few people the same ad over and over.
What you can and can't show
Ahpra's rules cover Facebook and Instagram too. That means no clinical testimonials and no claims that set up an unreasonable expectation of benefit, and any offer must state its terms. Graphic foot photos are also a poor fit for a social feed, however effective they might feel. Your team, your clinic and what to expect at an appointment are safer choices, and they build the familiarity Meta is good at.

Podiatry Meta Ads, answered
Can we use before-and-after photos of feet?
We would advise against it. They carry Ahpra risk as outcome claims, they can run into Meta's health policies, and most people don't want them in their feed.
How much should a clinic spend on Meta?
There's no published Meta benchmark for Australian podiatry that we would trust. We would size a small test in the audit, then decide based on bookings. Lead campaigns need about 50 results a week per ad set to exit learning, which many single clinics won't reach, so we may optimise for a higher-volume action.
Would Meta suit us better than Google?
Rarely, for podiatry. Dietitians are one exception worth comparing: see Meta Ads for dietitians, where the decision to seek help often takes longer.
