Exercise Physiology Meta Ads · Australia

Meta Ads for Exercise Physiologists

A six-week strength class starting next month is an easy thing to advertise on Facebook. "Book an exercise physiologist" isn't, because many people in the feed aren't sure what that is. If you run group programs, that's where we would start with Meta Ads.

My businesses Ayers House Events and Henry's Table have been using DMT for over a year now with fantastic results. Whether it is Facebook, Insta or creating general content such as photos and even websites, I can highly recommend this Tribe.

We engaged Digital Marketing Tribe for both Google Ads and SEO services, and the results have exceeded our expectations. Their expertise, professionalism, and attention to detail have significantly improved our online visibility. What sets them apart is their clear communication, transparency, and genuine commitment to helping their clients succeed. They take the time to understand the business, provide regular updates and explain complex, up to date digital marketing concepts.

Honestly can't recommend Digital Marketing Tribe enough. They are so easy to work with, they understood the identity I wanted with my brand and executed. Since taking on my SEO, Theva has grown so quickly. In just 3 months, about 2 out of every 3 of my leads now come directly from Google, and I constantly get compliments on how good my website looks from other business owners and customers. They've made the whole thing completely stress-free and the results are snowballing every month. Thank you team!

Meta has a clearer job here than it does for many clinics. People can't search for a program they don't know exists, and a local group class has a date, a place and a price that make for a simple ad. It may also suit people who would never think to look up an exercise physiologist. We don't have exercise physiology Meta results to show you yet. This is the plan we would run, based on the research below.

It's weaker for one-to-one clinical work, where a GP's referral or a search usually does the job. We would be careful about spending there, and we would look at your booking data first.

How We Run It

How we would run Meta for an EP practice

Simple campaigns with one job each, and a local radius.

Lead with a program

A named class, its start date, cost and place. Run it in time to fill it, then stop the ads once it's full.

Copy about the program, not the person

"Struggling with diabetes?" implies a health condition and risks rejection. "Six-week strength class, Tuesdays in [your suburb]" describes the offer instead.

Your clinicians on camera

A short clip of a clinician explaining what happens in the first session, with captions on. It also helps with the "what is an exercise physiologist" question without a lecture.

Different ideas, not variations

Meta treats near-identical ads as one idea, so we would test a few real concepts: the class, the clinician and a first-session walkthrough.

Whole-site remarketing

Visitors go in one audience, with no condition-based segments, if Meta's health classification allows matching for your site. About 100 people are needed before remarketing will deliver.

Reports against real bookings

Meta tends to report more conversions than GA4. We compare Meta, GA4 and your booking system, and show you the gap.

Our Evidence

What our orthodontic campaigns suggest for an EP practice

From DMT's Meta campaigns for Transform Orthodontic Care, November 2023 to November 2025. It's a different field and a small sample, so read these as lessons, not forecasts.

A clear offer helped warm audiences

Two remarketing lead campaigns, $250 each, brought in 28 leads at $16.67 and $19.23. We have no booking data behind those leads, so we would judge yours on who turned up.

Awareness rarely gets clicks

Awareness campaigns clicked at 0.04% to 0.07%, against 1.12% to 1.74% for remarketing. A program with a date may behave differently, and that's what we would test.

Small audiences tire quickly

One audience of 2,332 people saw the ads 23.8 times on average. A local class doesn't need long to run, which helps, but frequency needs watching.

Compliance

What to avoid

Patient stories are the natural idea and need the most care. ESSA sets the profession's standards rather than Ahpra, but consumer law still covers misleading claims, and Meta rejects copy that implies a personal health condition. We would avoid weight-loss promises and before-and-after photos, and we wouldn't suggest a class will fix anything. If a physio or other Ahpra-registered clinician appears in the ad, its testimonial rules can apply. Meta's AI enhancements stay off unless you approve them in writing, as Meta's terms make you responsible for what they add.

Keyword and ranking figures: Semrush Australian database, checked 6 November 2026. Volumes, difficulty scores and click prices are Semrush estimates, and click prices are shown in US dollars. Rankings are a national snapshot, so local results will differ. Scope and regulation: ESSA, 9 November 2023. Meta's rules change often, so we check the current position in Ads Manager when building a campaign.

Common Questions

Exercise physiology Meta Ads, answered

Should we target people with particular conditions?

No. We don't build condition-based audiences for health clients, and we wouldn't try to work around Meta's rules. A local radius and a program people can recognise themselves in is the honest approach.

How much should we spend?

Fix the budget to the program: what's a filled class worth, and how many enquiries does it take to fill it? We don't publish a Meta management fee, so we would quote after the audit.

What if we don't run group programs?

Then Meta probably isn't your first channel. SEO and Google Ads should come first. Workplace rehab providers face a similar question, and for them we say the same.
