Bilal & Matt have been instrumental in supporting our organic traffic to our website. Further, facilitating website advancements such as building case studies, blogs and projects as we underwent a national re-brand. I would recommend Digital Marketing Tribe for SEO support & website services. Taylor Penny, Marketing Manager @ Synaco by Synergie.
SEO for Workplace Rehabilitation Providers
You probably won't outrank a state regulator for your own category name, and you may not need to. "Functional capacity evaluation" and "pre employment medical" each get about nine times the searches, at far lower difficulty scores. We would start with the services people look up, many of them likely to be employers, and check that in your own search data.

DMT has had a massive impact to our business. I have to admit I was sceptical because we had been burnt before with other marketing companies. Ivan and the team helped grow customers and followers rapidly over a 3 month period. 3,700 extra FB followers and more than 2,500 chatbot subscribers, which equates to about 12,000 newsletter subscribers. Easily doubled our sales in 3 months. Highly recommended.
My businesses Ayers House Events and Henry's Table have been using DMT for over a year now with fantastic results. Whether it is Facebook, Insta or creating general content such as photos and even websites, I can highly recommend this Tribe.
Search for this sector looks a bit like a pyramid turned upside down. The term that describes you has the least demand, while the services you deliver have the most. A site that only talks about "workplace rehabilitation" could miss a manager who types in "ergonomic assessment". We don't currently have a client in this sector. This is the plan we would run, based on the research below.
Your service list is your SEO plan, provided you actually offer each one. We would match keywords to services by region, give each a useful page, and make sure your regulator and association listings are right.
Where a rehab provider should start
Australian figures, in the order we would go after them.
Assessments
functional capacity evaluation: 1,300 a month, difficulty 9
pre employment medical: 1,300, difficulty 8
ergonomic assessment: 590, difficulty 15
workplace assessment: 140, difficulty 6
Injury management
injury management: 590, difficulty 22
return to work coordinator: 720, difficulty 25
return to work program: 170, difficulty 26
The category
occupational rehabilitation: 320, difficulty 21
workplace rehabilitation: 260, difficulty 19
workplace rehabilitation provider: 140, difficulty 23
Compliance topics
psychosocial hazards training: 170, difficulty 22
Useful if you actually deliver it, and it speaks to safety managers before a claim exists.
The page your referrals will read
Not every visitor is a buyer. A worker told to attend a functional capacity evaluation may look you up the night before, worried about what it means for their job. A plain page explaining what happens, how long it takes and who sees the report can reduce no-shows and anxiety. It won't get many searches, but it can save your consultants a lot of phone calls, and it shows employers how you treat people.
What rehab provider SEO can involve
Written for someone who may forward the page to a colleague. What's covered depends on your tier.
One page per service
What the assessment includes, who does it, how long it takes, the report they receive and turnaround times you can stand behind.
State pages that mean something
Rules differ by jurisdiction, so a NSW page can talk about SIRA and a WA page about WorkCover WA. Swapping a state's name into a template isn't enough, and it's a practice we avoid.
Regulator and association listings
SIRA, WorkCover WA, Comcare, WorkSafe Queensland and ARPA all rank in the top 10. Where your approval or membership puts you on those lists, we check you're listed accurately.
Google Business Profile for each office
Pre-employment medicals and assessments can draw local searches, so each real location gets a real profile.
Consultant profiles
Qualifications and experience, so a claims manager can see who will handle the file, and AI answers have facts to cite.
Links from your sector
Industry associations, employer groups and safety events are more relevant than generic directories.
Why the specific search comes first
We don't have SEO results in this sector to show you. At Transform Orthodontic Care, organic search produced 885 conversions at 6.20%, and keywords ranking in Google's top 100 grew 206%. That's consumer healthcare, so we wouldn't forecast from it. The lesson that fits here is about targeting: that practice averaged position 1.8 for a suburb term and 17.7 for the city term, because the specific search comes first. We would treat "functional capacity evaluation" the same way, and dietitians' specialty pages follow a similar logic.
Keyword and ranking figures: Semrush Australian database, checked 6 November 2026. Volumes, difficulty scores and click prices are Semrush estimates, and click prices are shown in US dollars. Rankings are a national snapshot, so local results will differ. Provider approval: Safe Work Australia, 2025 edition.
Rehab provider SEO, answered
We have offices in several states. Do we need a page for each?
Only where you can deliver and have something specific to say. Each jurisdiction has its own authority and rules, which gives you real content. If you can't say anything different about a state, we wouldn't build the page.
Is search volume too low to justify SEO?
The category term is small, but one employer account can be worth far more than one patient. Volumes on assessment terms are healthier. We would estimate the value of an account with you before recommending a budget.
What does this cost?
SEO starts from $1,200 a month plus GST for local work on up to 5 pages. Full SEO, including link building and schema, starts from $2,000, and AI search is an add-on from $1,200. It's billed month to month. The pricing page lists the tiers, and a multi-state provider will usually need more than the starting tier.
